COT Training Overview¶
What is COT?¶
Club Officer Training is provided by districts to help club officers succeed in their roles. Toastmasters International requires officers to complete training twice per year:
- Round 1: July-August (for incoming officers)
- Round 2: November-February (mid-year reinforcement)
Training Requirements¶
Each officer should complete training for their specific role:
- President
- VP Education
- VP Membership
- VP Public Relations
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Sergeant at Arms
Reporting to TI¶
Districts report COT completion to Toastmasters International, which counts toward club Distinguished Club Program (DCP) goals.
