Overview¶
ToastHost provides digital feedback forms that allow you to share constructive feedback with speakers during and after meetings. Good feedback is essential for member growth.
How to Give Feedback¶
Step 1: Access the Feedback Form¶
During a meeting:
- Open the meeting page
- Find the speaker you want to provide feedback for
- Click the Give Feedback button
Step 2: Complete the Form¶
The feedback form typically includes:
- Strengths - What the speaker did well
- Areas for Improvement - Constructive suggestions
- Overall Comments - General observations
Step 3: Submit¶
Click Submit to send your feedback. The speaker will receive it after the meeting.
When to Give Feedback¶
During Meetings¶
- Give feedback immediately after each speaker
- Your impressions are freshest right after the speech
- Quick feedback helps evaluators too
After Meetings¶
- You can still submit feedback after the meeting ends
- Useful if you didn't have time during the meeting
Tips for Good Feedback¶
Be Specific¶
Instead of "Good job," try "Your opening story immediately grabbed my attention and set the scene effectively."
Be Constructive¶
Frame improvements positively: "You could strengthen your conclusion by..." rather than "Your conclusion was weak."
Be Encouraging¶
Balance constructive criticism with genuine praise. Everyone has something they did well.
Common Questions¶
Is my feedback anonymous?¶
This depends on your club's settings. Check with your officers.
Can I edit feedback after submitting?¶
Typically no, so take a moment to review before submitting.
Who sees my feedback?¶
The speaker receives your feedback. Evaluators may also see audience feedback to inform their evaluation.
