Overview

ToastHost enables digital voting for Best Speaker, Best Evaluator, and Best Table Topics during meetings. Voting recognizes outstanding performances and encourages members.

How to Vote

Step 1: Access Voting

When voting is open:

  1. Open the meeting page
  2. Look for the Vote section or button
  3. Voting is typically available near the end of the meeting

Step 2: Make Your Selections

Vote in the available categories:

  • Best Speaker - The prepared speech you found most effective
  • Best Evaluator - The evaluation that was most helpful
  • Best Table Topics - The impromptu response that impressed you most

Step 3: Submit Your Vote

Click Submit to record your vote. You can only vote once per category.

Who Can Vote?

All meeting attendees (members and guests) can typically vote.

Voting Criteria

Consider factors like:

  • Content and message
  • Delivery and presence
  • Use of time
  • Overall impact

When Does Voting Close?

The Toastmaster or meeting organizer controls when voting closes. Submit your votes promptly.

Viewing Results

During the Meeting

Results are typically announced near the end of the meeting.

After the Meeting

View results on the meeting page under Results or Voting Results.

Tips

  • Vote based on the overall speech, not just one aspect
  • Consider the speaker's objectives and project requirements
  • It's okay if your choice doesn't win - voting is subjective

Can I change my vote?

Typically no, once submitted. Make your selection carefully.

What if there's a tie?

The meeting organizer handles ties according to club tradition.

Are votes anonymous?

Yes, individual votes are private. Only the results are shared.
